ABOUT JARED BOOKBINDER

Jared developed a love for music as a child. Hearing his mom and sister play piano and sing together inspired him to begin his own musical journey. He started piano lessons at age 7 and has also always enjoyed singing. He was inspired to pick up the guitar during his high school years after listening to the Dave Matthews album, Live at Luther College.

Jared graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from James Madison University and has performed in a variety of venues including, The Kennedy Center and Mandalay Bay hotel in Las, Vegas. He has also performed internationally, including several trips throughout Central America on UVA’s MV Explorer ship.

Jared is inspired by the universality of music as a tool to communicate emotions and ideas. He is interested in spreading the joy and healing power of music through performance and teaching.
